Bathroom Styling Essentials

How to achieve a timeless, spa-like atmosphere in your bathroom

Cohesive Dispensers

Swapping your dispensers is an easy way to make your bathroom space feel instantly updated! I have these amber glass dispensers from Amazon. My shampoo and conditioner actually came in the plastic amber colored bottles so I put waterproof labels on to make my products look more cohesive!

Here are more cohesive dispensers and labels!

Textiles

I like to stick to neutrals when it comes to textiles. Both the feel and aesthetics are important to me when it comes to selecting towels and wash cloths. The hand towels that I purchased are no longer available but these are a solid dupe!

Storage

Since we don’t have a vanity, I had to get a little creative when it came to storage. I utilized lots of baskets and boxes to hide away my items.

I love this gorgeous, decorative brass box from this set and this vintage style first aid box to store our medications and various toiletries.

This metal wire bin holds three toilet paper rolls. You could toss it on a shelf or store it on the back of your toilet!

Decor & Styling

I like to lean and layer a combination of abstract and traditional art for a timeless, curated feel. I also love a little pop of greenery in a vase.

And every bathroom needs a hamper. I am of the belief that if it’s visible it should be pretty! So grab a cute jute or woven hamper. We use this larger jute hamper for our clothing and this smaller woven basket for our towels and wash cloths!

I also love adding a classic sea wool sponge for decor along with a wooden scrub brush (that’s also functional!).

Back to the pretty storage—I love bath canisters to store cotton balls and q-tips. I use these items daily so they’re right between our sinks on our utility cart. The canisters I have are out of stock but these are a great alternative!

Vintage Rugs

I truly think a vintage (or vintage style) rug adds so much character to any space. The rug by my clawfoot is an original vintage rug that I purchased off of Etsy. You can find authentic vintage rugs on Etsy and eBay. And if an authentic vintage rug isn’t in your budget, there are a lot of great affordable options in Chris Loves Julia’s Loloi rug line as well as Amber Interiors. You can find both on Amazon!

Bath Stools

If you have a clawfoot or soaker tub, I recommend having a stool nearby. They’re so convenient to place items on like your phone, a book, or a canister with epsom salts. I have one stool to hold my epsom salts and I use the other to sit on whenever I bathe my daughter! Unfortunately both of the stools that I have are no longer available to purchase but I’ll share some solid recommendations below!
