IKEA Storage Solutions Decor and More

IKEA has affordable storage solutions that couple function with style. Check out some of my favorite IKEA storage and decor!

You can’t beat IKEA’s prices when it comes to stylish home decor. Our home is on the smaller side and IKEA has great, low-cost storage solutions . And when function meets style, well, *chefs kiss.* So I’m going to give you a little tour of my home with all of my favorite items.

First up: IVAR Storage Combination w/ doors

The IVAR storage solution was perfect for my son’s bedroom. When you have smaller spaces, think vertically for storage! I love these bamboo weave doors that can easily hide clutter. I also love the open shelving on the bottom. I did a combination of decor and storage on the bottom shelves. I love the TJILLEVIPS jute baskets for storage. They’re jute baskets that are sewn together by hand and easy to fold down to the height you want.

KURA Reversible bed

I just love that the KURA bed is reversible. You can start out with it lower for your toddlers but it also grows with them as you can turn it upside down when your child gets older – creating a corner with space for play and cozy times.

KALLAX cube storage and SMÅSTAD bench with toy storage

I love that you can hang the adaptable KALLAX cubes on the wall or stand it on the floor. As with any cube storage, you can personalize the unit with inserts and boxes. I like these LABBSAL handmade baskets that I used in the bottom cubes. I styled some layered art and decor on the top. The SMÅSTAD bench with its huge pull-out drawer has been a life saver for toy storage. Plus, I often find my son curled up on top with a book.

RÅSHULT utility cart

We have wall mounted sinks in our master bath and I needed something for extra storage that fit in between them. I store my makeup and hair products in this RÅSHULT cart. I love the industrial look of it and I love that it comes in white for a clean, simplistic look.

MILSBO glass-door cabinet

I did NOT want to cover up our gorgeous subway tile in our master bath but I knew that I needed some kind of cabinet for our towels, toilet paper, medicine, etc. I am a huge fan of this MILSBO glass cabinet and I practically stalked Ikea’s website waiting for it to come back in stock! I love the industrial feel. But to warm it up, I added  some brass decor and woven baskets (these FRYKEN baskets are from IKEA) for additional storage. It was fairly easy to put together as well! It fits (almost too) perfectly in our space.

VITTSJÖ shelves and the HEKTAR floor lamp

These VITTSJÖ shelves are so affordable and look like a million bucks. The straightforward design and glass shelves allow your decor to really stand out. The dark metal creates a vintage, industrial feel. I really love creating little vignettes in each cube.

The HEKTAR floor lamp is such a classic in my opinion. The oversized metal shape was inspired by old lamps from places like factories and  theaters. I’ve had this lamp for several years and it has held up through my many different style transitions in this space!

LINNEBÄCK chair

Simplistic and casual—I adore these LINNEBÄCK accent chairs. Priced under just $60 a piece, you can’t beat it! I paired my chairs with the ULLERSLEV sheepskins and have PRAKTSALVIA cushion covers on my throw pillows. All of our guests have commented on how comfortable they are!

I also popped the FEKJA olive tree in the corner inside of the NYPON faux concrete pot! I love artificial plants because I have better things to do than water plants and pick up dead leaves!

SINNERLIG oversized pendant lamp

I have seen this SINNERLIG pendant everywhere and I’m not even a little bit surprised at how popular it has become. Designer Ilse Crawford created this lamp shade made of bamboo lattice. The woven material give a warm, welcoming glow to any space. I think it really warms up our dinning space and I love the decorative pattern it casts around the room during the evening. Each lamp is handmade and unique—which is amazing considering that this lamp is priced for under $100!

SNIGLAR crib

I love the simplicity of the SNIGLAR crib. It is so easy to put together. It is made from solid beech – a durable and renewable natural material that is both good for your wallet and the planet! Whatever your nursery decor theme, this crib will fit in perfectly (especially priced at $99.99!) It is really easy to take apart and put back together as we have moved this crib several times in our home (if you couldn’t tell by the two different wall colors in the photos!).

So there you have it! Those are some of my favorite Ikea storage solutions, furniture, and decor. What are some of your favorites? Let me know in the comments below!
