design PROJECT

modern traditional master bathroom

project overview

This is our very own master bathroom in our attic suite. As you can see in the before photo, we started with a blank slate. My husband (with the help of our family) did all of the plumbing and electrical. We added a wall for privacy with the toilet and we hung the sinks on the opposite side. I wanted something that felt timeless so I achieved that by mixing modern and traditional elements. The clawfoot tub is restored from the 1920s and the pipes on the sink are antique brass. The vintage rug was thrifted and adds the perfect touch of warmth to the space. Shop the space below!

what the client said

Well, I’m the client. It’s funny, I designed this space a few years ago and I honestly would do things completely differently now. But I think it still holds up and feels beautifully timeless. It’s my favorite room in the house. I spend a lot of time in here because it is such a relaxing and peaceful environment.
